Rooms & Facilities

You can book just the V.I.P. guest wing for a night, or the whole house for your exclusive use.

The VIP Guest Wing was once an administrative office of Iwaki Ship Building Company. It has a look of a Japanese interpretation of ‘Western Building’ in the 40s. Now it is converted into an accommodation facility that hosts up to 4 adults bookable in this website or by major on-line booking sites. Click the below images and move your mouse to see 360 degrees of our facility.

The Guest Wing is the two-story building made to host the special guests. The Southern Japanese Hemlock, the trees native to the area, are used here as other castles. The openwork of the decorative transom is a must see part of Shunyoso that has eight kinds of treasure believed to bring good luck to the house at that time.

The upper floor of the Living Wing is the most fascinating part of Shunyoso with specially designed ceiling with latticed bamboo and fan-shaped roof balk. The space is often used by loca artists and performers including Mihara Junior High school students for a puppet show.
