was the plan! but in my over excitement I cut the power cord to the trimers and shorted some of the house out (Oops!)
Anyway the front entrance is now looking nice and clean and ready to welcome in the new year.

Found a news paper and basket from 1932!
Shinyoso also includes a traditional Japanese shed known as a Naya 納屋
Our master carpenter has kindly fixed the rails to the doors, so finally we can put the shed into good use.
The amount of doors we found in the warehouse is honestly a little astounding. Some interesting finds, and some very amazing doors…. and I am pretty sure I found part of a dalek (sorry geeky sci-fi person here)
The *Kura is a traditional Japanese warehouse and is possibly the strongest building at Shunyoso. It’s definitely the place with the most junk to remove and dust to clear.

Daylight sensors and LED bulbs added to garden and wall lights.
Winter on its way is welcomed by some hard cleaning.

The bathroom in the Western Quarter, we are removing a partition to make a roomier space.
It was a good day to do more cleaning. Can you see the hallway board has no segments? It is 4 ken, the old Japanese unit for length, or about 7.3 meters. The foundation sits on the flat rocks so that earthquakes do less damage.
